Salaar teaser: Prashant Neel takes the English route again to describe hero, just like KGF-2
The Salaar teaser dropped this morning

The first teaser of Prashant Neel’s much-awaited Salaar is finally here. Fans are debating if the 1 minute 46 seconds long teaser, which had only fleeting glimpses of leading man Prabhas fulfilled expectations. But what’s interesting is that Prashant has chosen to follow the KGF: Chapter 2 teaser format with Salaar as well. The commentary about how ‘powerful’ the hero is, is made by someone else and yet again it is in English.

While KGF: Chapter 2 had Prakash Raj saying “History tells us that powerful places make powerful people. History was wrong; powerful people make places powerful, this time around, Tinu Anand gets a ‘simple English’ line. “Lion, cheetah, tiger, elephant… very dangerous… but… not in Jurassic Park, because in that park there is a….(roar of a dinosaur)”. The glimpse then cuts to quick shots of Prabhas wielding a machete and guns with equal panache. In the KGF 2 teaser it was a shot of Rocky Bhai handling ‘doddamma’ as we later got to know.

In choosing to go the English way, Prashant eliminated the need to have multiple teasers in the different languages that the film will release in. In fact, that was the big question that fans had when Hombale Films announced that the teaser would drop on July 6, as to whether it would be available in any other language beside Telugu.

Salaar is Prashant Neel’s latest collaboration with Hombale Films, after the two-film KGF franchise. In the last few weeks, the buzz was that the filmmaker was set to present the story of the most violent man in two parts, which they have now confirmed by saying that the film that is dropping in theatres on September 28 is the first one and is called Ceasefire.
