The Prashanth Neel directorial is the second release for Prabhas this year after Adipurush
Another potential box-office monster is set to arrive in a couple of months. KGF, Ugramm filmmaker Prashanth Neel’s next ambitious actioner Salaar, produced by Hombale Films, that marks his Telugu debut, is coming this September 28. The Prabhas starrer is easily one of the most awaited films this year. After a dud like Adipurush, this is just the tonic that promises to rejuvenate the star’s fans.
After much anticipation, Salaar’s promotional campaign kickstarts today with the teaser launch. Much like cricket aficionados setting their alarms early to watch India matches played in Australia and New Zealand, film buffs across the globe have enthusiastically woken up to the sight of its teaser, not quite minding the choice of the makers to time the launch at 5.12 am.
The teaser opens with the sight of a few henchmen pointing their guns at Tinu Anand, trying to attack him, to which the latter has a singular response, “Simple English..no confusion..Lion, cheetah, tiger, elephant are dangerous, but not in Jurassic Park, because in that park..there is a..” with the visual pointing out to Prabhas in a beastly avatar followed by the glimpse of Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The baddies are sent packing with a wide variety of guns, weapons and the setting resembles a blood bath. Surprisingly, the makers confirm that the film that it’ll have multiple instalments. The first instalment is titled Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire. Sriya Reddy, Easwari Rao, Madhu Guruswamy, Tinu Anand, Garuda Ram and Jagapathi Babu play other important roles.
Ravi Basrur, who recently worked for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan as well, is the music composer while Bhuvan Gowda is the cinematographer. The 20-year-old Gulbarga-born technician Ujwal Kulkarni, who rose to prominence with KGF: Chapter 2, is the editor. Shivakumar - T L Venkatachalapathi are the production designers and Anbarivu handle the stunts.
