Salaar star Prithviraj Sukumaran excited to watch Dunki; 'I am a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan'

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who features in Salaar, has admitted that he is a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan. The actor said he is excited to watch SRK's film, Dunki.

There's a lot of buzz around the release of Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas' Salaar. After Animal and Sam Bahadur's clash on December 1, Dunki and Salaar are set to lock horns at the box office. While Dunki releases on December 21, Prabhas' movie Salaar will hit the big screen on December 22. Ahead of his film Salaar's theatrical release, Prithviraj Sukumaran admitted that he is looking forward to watching Dunki.

In an interview with News18, Prithviraj Sukumaran refrained from choosing between Salaar and Dunki. However, the actor said, "I’m really looking forward to watching Dunki. I’m a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan. I’m also a big fan of Rajkumar Hirani."

That being said, Prithviraj stated he is equally excited for Mohanlal's film, Neru. The Malayalam movie is set to release on December 21, 2023. "As a film lover, I think it’s the greatest holiday season ever, at least in Kerala, because we’ve Salaar, Dunki, and Neru. Neru is a Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph film and they’re collaborating after Drishyam 2," he added. Sukumaran added that he will be watching all three movies on the big screen.

About Salaar

Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar stars Prabhas as Deva and Prithviraj Sukumaran as Vardharaja. Shruti Haasan plays the role of Aadhya and Jagapathi Babu will be seen as Raja Mannar. The film is reported to be made on a budget of Rs 270 crore.

Dunki marks Shah Rukh Khan's third theatrical release this year. After Pathaan and Jawan, SRK collaborated with Rajkumar Hirani on Dunki. The superstar will be seen alongside Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani in the movie. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 21. The film has been written by Abhijat Joshi, Kanika Dhillon, and Rajkumar Hirani. On the other hand, Hirani has co-produced the movie with Gauri Khan and Jyoti Deshpande.
