The film is in news again for its exception overseas theatrical rights deal
Prashanth Neel's upcoming spectacle Salaar continues to remain in the news despite being months away from arriving in cinema halls. The film's main attraction is quite obviously its leading man, Prabhas, and the actor's many million fans aren't shying away from expressing their excitement over what's in store. The latest update, in this vein, has further amped up the hype, suggesting that Salaar is arguably the most-awaited release of 2023.
The update that we speak of is regarding the film's overseas theatrical rights and the most recent reports claim that the makers have cracked an exceptional deal. Some speculate that the rights for Salaar's overseas theatrical exhibition have been sold for close to Rs. 100 crores with other reports claiming that the ballpark figure is Rs. 70 crores. Regardless, should there be any truth to these speculations, the action epic is off to an incredible start towards a rather mighty goal.

Prabhas' Salaar to have an international version, here's what we know
Netizens, since the information broke out, are overjoyed and social media is currently brimming with posts concerning Salaar. "The only film that can compete with Salaar is Salaar itself," exclaimed a Prabhas fan group on Twitter with a few others referring to him as the 'CEO of Masses'.
With KGF 2, Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films' previous collaboration, yielding more than Rs. 1200 crores at the box office, Salaar is expected to surpass that figure and potentially become one of the all-time highest-grossing films. Prabhas' star power certainly boasts the potential required to get to that point and it will help that he is joined by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and others.
Salaar was in the news recently for its chosen shooting location of the Italian city of Matera, which was incidentally where the prologue to the James Bond film No Time to Die was shot. According to Variety, Neel and Co. are then set to station in Naples and the cities of Rome & Budapest, too, are part of the shooting schedules.
