The Prabhas-starrer made over ₹600 crore at the worldwide box office and became one of the highest grossers of 2023
Still from Salaar
After dominating the box office by making a whopping ₹611.80 crore in 2023, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire was available to stream on Netflix starting January 20, 2024. The action-thriller is a commercial triumph that boasts a powerhouse cast, including Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Ramchandra Raju, Jagapathi Babu, and Tinnu Anand, whose performances have enthralled audiences. This led to Salaar becoming one of the most loved South Indian films of the year.
Now, after ruling the box office, Salaar continues its dominance on Netflix as well. On average, people have watched it for 4,700 hours. The film is 2 hours and 54 minutes long, and 1.6 million people have watched it so far. That makes it the third most popular non-English film on Netflix, right after the Spanish film Society Of The Snow and the German film Sixty Minutes.

Prithviraj Sukumaran is super excited for Salaar’s massive success and thankful to his fans because it made it to the top 10 most-watched non-English movies on Netflix. And he has requested everyone who has not yet watched Salaar to do so because of its action sequences.
He said, “After the massive love all of you gave Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire when it released in theatres across the globe on the 22nd of December 2023, it is now finding equally big love as it started streaming on Netflix across the globe in four different languages - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. So for those of you who have not seen the film, and for all of you who would like to revisit it, do watch this magnificent action saga, directed by Prashanth Neel, now streaming on Netflix.”
Prabhas recently offered some exciting updates about Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam. In an interview with India Today earlier this month, he mentioned that the script is finalised and that the team is gearing up for production. He also spoke about Prashanth Neel's diligent preparation, with suitable locations already scouted for the upcoming shoot which will potentially commence in March 2024.
