From tees to hoodies and arm sleeves, take your pick now at the online store, which currently houses only the Salaar collection
Hombale Films, the production house behind the upcoming much-awaited Salaar: Ceasefire, is slowly and steadily drumming up excitement around the Prabhas starrer. With only days to go for the trailer launch (on December 1), the makers today announced the launch of the Hombaleverse Merchandise Store. The team had earlier launched a KGF verse with avatar NFTS, and sold 1000 Rocky Bhai avatars in record time. They are now looking to repeat the same with Salaar as well.
“Brace yourselves for a cinematic wardrobe revolution! Introducing Hombale Films Merchadise with the Powerhouse Salaar Collection leading the way. Elevate your style with the essence of cinema. Unleash the magic – dress, feel, live the movies!” read the official post announcing the launch of the merch. Right now, the Hombaleverse has a limited Salaar collection of hoodies, tees and arm sleeves, but it may not be long before the banner adds KGF and other movie merchandise and expands its stock. What’s more, as an inaugural deal, there is a special buy-one-get-one (BOGO) offer as well.
Salaar, led by Prabhas and directed by Prashant Neel is releasing in theatres world-wide on December 22. It is in direct competition with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Aquaman 2. The film, which was pushed ahead from its earlier September 28 date, is rumoured to be a bigger and better version of Prashant’s directorial debut Ugramm. Considered a cult movie today, the Sriimurali-led film did not work at the box office, which Prashant took as a learning that he ought to have made it with a big star. The filmmaker, who had earlier also proposed a sequel to Ugramm, called Ugramm Veeram, is believed to have combined the two scripts and added sequences and characters for Salaar, the first part of which, Ceasefire, is the one coming out this Christmas.

The makers, we hear, are looking at giving the film a massive release, not just in terms of the screens and show counts, but also with the languages in which it will be available to watch. Besides Telugu, kannada, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam versions, it has been reported by trade trackers that Hombale Films is also looking at getting the film dubbed in a few foreign languages, to tackle the North and South American, Middle East and South East Asian markets
