Prabhas in 'Salaar'

Prabhas' Salaar is set to release on December 22, 2023, on a massive number of screens worldwide. The advance bookings have opened and the tickets are being sold like hotcakes across the areas of release. The last two films of Prabhas, Radhe Shyam and Aadipurush failed at the box office, but that did not stop the distributors from going all out for the Prabhas starrer in Telugu.

Let us look at the detailed pre-release business of Salaar in Telugu states. Well, the Nizam rights of Salaar have been sold for a whopping Rs 60 crore and the Andhra rights also went for the same price. The rights to the ceded area in AP went for Rs 24 crore. That means Salaar's pre-release business in Telugu is Rs 144 crore.

As Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki is also releasing a day earlier, on December 21, 2023, most of the theatres have been blocked by the SRK starrer. Ace Telugu producer Dil Raju, who owns most of the theatres in Telugu states, has allocated most of the screens to Dunki. Shows for Salaar will start as soon as 1 am on December 22, 2203.

Salaar has Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruthi Haasan in key roles and Ravi Basrur scores the music. Hombale Films is the production house behind this film, which is the tale of two close friends turning enemies.
