The trailer of Salaar Ceasefire, which has Telugu superstar Prabhas in the lead, is set to drop on December 1 at 7.19 pm
After the rather disappointing Salaar teaser that came out in July this year and did not give fans even one proper glimpse of leading man Prabhas in its 1 minute and 46 second run-time, it appears that the makers are set to compensate for that. According to the buzz on social media, the Salaar Ceasefire trailer that is coming out today at 7.19 pm will be 3 minutes and 47 seconds long, which should satiate fans. This, say netizens, is unexpected of Prashant, considering that his trailer cuts for KGF: Chapter 1 were both under 3 minutes, but could be to appease fans, who had woken up early for the 5.12 am drop of the teaser. Hombale Films, the banner that’s producing the film has also confirmed the trailer’s length
Salaar Ceasefire is the first of a two-part story that Prashant is presenting. The film is releasing in theatres on December 22, in direct competition with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. Ever since this clash was announced, fans of both actors have been involved in online tussles trying to prove that either or both are remakes. With Salaar, the rumour that it is the remake of Prashant’s directorial debut Ugramm came early on, which music director Ravi Basrur had confirmed at the time. Subsequently, Prashant had denied this, but netizens have been convinced that Salaar is only a bigger and better version of Ugramm, going by the few similarities they could spot in the fleeting visuals made available so far.
In fact, Prashant’s first interview for Salaar describes he film as a tale of two friends who then turn foes, which is exactly what Ugramm was also about. While Sriimurali and Tilak played the friends in the original, in Salaar it will be Prabhas and Prithviraj.
