Salaar Ceasefire - Moved by her voice, Prashanth Neel gets THIS Indian Idol singer to record a song
Prashanth Neel turned 43.

The release of Salaar might still be a few days away but director Prashanth Neel has already begun winning hearts. Turns out that the filmmaker has sought out a special singer for this upcoming film and has offered the Indian Idol contestant Menuka Poudel to lend her voice for a particular song in the film.

Menuka Poudel, as many would already know, is a visually impaired singer who has been creating waves with her mellifluous voice in the ongoing Hindi version of the reality show Indian Idol. In a recent episode, the host of the show Hussain Kuwajerwala proudly announced that Menuka will be part of this supremely popular project, which is headlined by none other than Prabhas himself.

The announcement drew a huge applause for the current lot of Indian Idol judges including the very amazing Shreya Ghoshal and '90s playback king Kumar Sanu. Shreya Ghoshal expressed delight over Menuka Poudel getting the opportunity to work with Prashanth Neel and Ravi Basrur.

The singer took to social media a short while ago to share the happy news with her followers and also thank Prashanth Neel and Ravi Basrur for the opportunity. She would also extend gratitude to her judges Shreya Ghoshal, Kumar Sanu and Vishal Dadlani.

Salaar, of course, marks the fourth straight collaboration between Neel and Basrur. The latter's trademark thumping sound could well be described as an important trait of Prashanth Neel's work thus far, who has used Basrur's soundtrack and songs to great effect in all his previous films. Fans are now keenly looking forward to seeing that the duo delivers on the huge expectations.
