Salaar first song is expected to be a friendship number

In only 10 days, Salaar: Ceasefire, the first instalment of the two-part story directed by Prashant Neel for Hombale Films, will be in theatres. The film, led by Rebel Star Prabhas, is a tale of two friends, played by the actor and Malayalam star Prithviraj, who eventually drift apart and become foes. Ceasefire is said to be the bit about their deep bond, ending with the circumstances leading to them being enemies. Unlike KGF: Chapter 1 and 2, for which Hombale Films dropped multiple songs before the movies came out, with Salaar, the updates have been limited. There’s been a teaser, a trailer and now, the first song. On December 13, the first single, albeit a lyrical video, will be out. Called Soorede in Telugu, the song launch announcement, though, came, uncharacteristically without a time stamp. Fans will have to wait for the next update to know at what time the song will become available.

Hombale Films have been a bit out of sorts as far as the promotions of Salaar go, with publicity interviews with the cast and crew yet to begin. When OTTplay had earlier asked co-founder Chaluve Gowda, he had said that full-fledged promotions would begin after December 1, once the trailer was out, but in the time since, Prashant has done 1 interview, while producer and fellow Hombale Films co-founder Vijay Kiragandur did another. While a film like Salaar does not necessarily need a promotional blitzkrieg and has enough buzz around it already, fans have been waiting eagerly to see Prabhas talk about the film.

Salaar: Ceasefire is releasing in theatres on December 22, a day after its primary competition Dunki and Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom come out. The release date, which was pushed ahead from the earlier September 28 has been fixed as per astrology consultation, something that Hombale Films follows religiously.
