It seems the rumours about Shruti Haasan's secret marriage to her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika originated from an online discussion conducted by social media celebrity Orry.
Actor-singer Shruti Haasan, who is basking in the success of her latest movie Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, has rubbished the rumours about her marriage. In a statement, she suggested she would never hide anything about her life fearing public scrutiny. "So I'm not married. For someone who's been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? So people who don't know me at all, please calm down," said Shruti.
It seems the rumours about Shruti's secret marriage to her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika originated from an online discussion conducted by social media celebrity Orry. During an 'ask me anything' session on Reddit, Orry talked about the complex dynamics he shares with Shruti. While he claimed that Shruti had been rude to him in the past, he revealed that he adored her "husband". And it seemed to have caused the flare-up on the internet about of Shruti's alleged hushed-up marriage.
In the meantime, things are looking up for Shruti in her career as an actor and musician. Her latest movie Salaar has already become one of the highest-grossing films of 2023 by raking in more than Rs 300 crore from its opening weekend itself.

In Salaar, Shruti plays the role named Aadhya and it's through her character that the viewers discover the blood-soaked history of Khansar. An all-star cast led by Telugu superstar Prabhas also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and Ramachandra Raju among others.

Shruti will be next seen in an upcoming action drama named Dacoit. Written and directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, the film stars Adivi Sesh — also credited as a co-writer. The title announcement teaser that was released earlier reveals an intense love story between two people prone to violence.
