Saiyami will be seen playing the female protagonist, Manjari, in the series. Her character is in love with her classmate Abhay who belongs to a different socio-economic background.
The story of the series revolves around two poets, Manjiri and Abhay, who have very different philosophies in life. Even though they have a lot of differences, they end up falling in love with each other. Little do they know that destiny has different plans for them.
Coincidently, Saiyami's on-screen character is also a student of St Xaviers and that is why the actress got a chance to go back to her college and shoot for the series.

According to the actress, a substantial part of the show has been shot in the college and she was so excited about the whole episode that she also called her teachers to share the news with them.
"I called all my college professors and told them. I have returned to college for various reasons but this was the first time I was going to work and it felt so emotional," she said.
