In a bizarre incident, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an unknown assailant with a knife at his home in Mumbai’s Bandra area during a robbery, officials confirmed. The incident took place around 2:30 am, and Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery. After the news spread, celebrities expressed shock and prayed for the actor's speedy recovery.

After the news of Saif Ali Khan's attack with a knife spread, celebrities took to their social media account and prayed for the actor's speedy recovery.

Jr NTR, who recently shared screen space with Saif in the Telugu film, Devara, posted on X, "Shocked and saddened to hear about the attack on Saif sir. Wishing and praying for his speedy recovery and good health."

Chiranjeevi wrote, "Deeply Disturbed by news of the attack by an intruder on #SaifAliKhan. Wishing and praying for his speedy recovery."

Raveena Tandon wrote on her Instagram Story, "Targetting celebrities and soft targets in what used to be a safe residential area has become rampant, with bandra losing out to unruly elements, accident scams, hawker mafia, encroachers, land grabbers and criminal elements racing on bikes phone and chain grabbing. Need stronger measures. Wishing you a speedy recovery #saif."

Pooja Bhatt tagged Mumbai Police in a post and wrote, "Local police are our first preventers/grass root defenders. It is law enforcements duty to create an environment in which people with a criminal bent do not feel comfortable to operate. The Beat officer must act as a deterrent in preventing criminal activity."

As per the Mumbai Police, the accused used the staircase to reach Saif's residence. Dixit Gedam, DCP, Mumbai Police, told the press, "In the investigation so far, we have identified a person who went at Saif Ali Khan's house in Bandra (west) with the intention of burglary. The suspect used the staircase of the building ‘Satguru Sharan’ where actor lives along with his family, to go upstairs."

Mumbai police suspect Saif Ali Khan's attacker knew domestic help

Indian Express quoted a Mumbai police source as saying, “We suspect the help must have allowed him entry, and due to some reason a fight took place. She is being interrogated by the local police to get more details about the accused. Seven local police teams are working to track him down.” The reports also mentioned that the actor was stabbed six times and he tried to safeguard his family by putting himself between them and the intruder.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and other family members reached the hospital to meet Saif.
