Sai Pallavi to join hands with Sivakarthikeyan in Kamal Haasan's untitled production venture

Rangoon fame Rajkumar Periasamy will be directing the big budget film,

Sai Pallavi and Sivakarthikeyan 

We had reported earlier that Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India are teaming up for a project which will have Sivakarthikeyan playing the lead in it. Rajkumar Periasamy of Rangoon (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) fame will be helming the movie.

The announcement on the film was made on the grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil 5 which has Kamal as the host. Fans of both Kamal and Siva were surprised and delighted with the news of the two of them collaborating together. The project is the production house' 51st film.

Though no other news pertaining to the project was let out by the team, we hear that Sai Pallavi is being considered to play the female lead in the movie. The unconfirmed news comes as an exciting update for Tamil film buffs as Siva and Sai have never worked before.

An official update on the same is awaited from the makers, though. Rajkumar had recently revealed that he had two ideas in his mind, one for a small budget film, and the second for an ambitious, big budget movie. It was Kamal who encouraged him to work on the latter and decided to associate with Sony Pictures.

The movie will be Sivakarthikeyan's 21st project as an actor. Last seen in Doctor (streaming on Netflix), the actor will next be seen in Cibi Chakravarti's Don. He is expected to join Tollywood filmmaker Anudeep's untitled bilingual flick soon. Ravikumar's sci-fi click Ayalaan is another project he has in his kitty.

Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, is busy shooting for the crucial portions of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram, which is likely to be a May release, if everything goes as per plan. The Ulaganayagan will start working on Mahesh Narayanan's film next.
