Sagileti Katha’s Atta Ettaga is a foot-tapping romance number with eye-catching visuals

Ravi Mahadasyam, Vishika Laxman play the lead roles in the rural drama backed by Navdeep

Newcomers Ravi Mahadasyam, Vishika Laxman are pairing up for a rooted rural drama titled Sagileti Katha, set for a release in the second half of September. The Rayalaseema-centric tale is written, directed, cinematographed and edited by Rajasekhar Sudmoon. Navdeep (on behalf of C Space) backs the film with Deviprasad Balivada, Ashok Mittapalli under Shade Entertaiment, Ashok Arts.

Jaswanth Pasupuleti is scoring the music for the film. Saregama has acquired the audio rights. The first single, Edo Jarigey, was a huge hit with netizens and music buffs worldwide. The makers unveiled the second number - Atta Ettaga - earlier this week. Yashwanth Nag and Kamala Manohari have crooned for the number which has lyrics by Jaswanth Pasupuleti and Rajasekhar Sudmoon.

The second song was launched in the presence of composer Radhan this week. ‘Atta Ettaga Puttesinavu..Nanne Ittaga Sampesthunnavu..Salikalam Segarepe Nallimantallaga..Naalona Mantatettinaave..’ the lyrics showcases how the protagonist tries every trick in the book to woo his lady love in the village. Ravi Mahadasyam and Vishika make for a good on-screen pair with their chemistry.

The eye-catching cinematography is another major attraction of the number. The first single has already garnered nearly three and a half lakh views on Youtube. Navdeep decided to back the film once he watched the first copy, highly impressed by how a young team managed to come up with a convincing product despite making it under a lot of limitations.

Sanal Vasudev and Varikuppala Yadagiri have worked on the background score and a folk number. Shashikanth Billapati, Mani Prasad Arukula are the associate writers of Sagileti Katha. The crew also comprises costume designer Harshanjali Shenikeshi, sound designer Yathi Raju, art directors Hemanth G, Aishwarya Kulakarni. The makers are looking to wrap up censor formalities at the earliest.
