Sabari, the 2024 Tamil movie starring actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead role, is soon to premiere on OTT. The action thriller is all set to premiere on the SunNXT app on October 11. The film will alternatively also be available on the OTTplay Premium app.

Sabari is an action thriller film which released in theatres on May 3. The film revolves around a single mother who must face her past demons in order to safeguard her child's future from imminent danger. The film will soon make its OTT debut and will be available for streaming on SunNXT and the OTTplay Premium app (which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store) from October 11 onwards. Sabari is an action thriller film and will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

The film is written and directed by filmmaker Anilkatz in his directorial debut and produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla. Apart from Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, the film also stars actors Mime Gopi, Ganesh Venkatraman, and Shashank in prominent roles.

The technical crew consists of Gopi Sundar scoring the music, and Rahul Shrivatsav and Nani Chamidishetty cranking the camera. Editing was handled by Dharmendra Kakarala.

Sabari got mixed reviews upon its release. OTTplay review of the film read, “Sabari has a great premise and a memorable performance by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The first half is lovely, but the second half falls flat, making Sabari a below-average watch this weekend.”

Meanwhile, Varalaxmi who recently got married, was last seen in Dhanush-starrer Raayan. The actor's role was limited in the film. Raayan is available for streaming on Prime Video. Varalaxmi also has the Kannada film Max in the pipeline. The action thriller is directed by Vijay Karthikeyaa and stars Kichcha Sudeep in the lead role. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
