Television’s popular actress Rooqma Ray is making her comeback with the Sun Bangla serial Rupsagare Moner Manush. While this has already been widely reported, the channel has kept her hero under wraps. The second promo was released on Friday, and finally, the actor was revealed, and it irked Rooqma’s fans. And ever since, they have been expressing their displeasure on social media.

Rooqma Ray was last seen in the Zee Bangla serial Lalkuthi opposite Rahul Arunodoy Banerjee. The mega, with a complex storyline with a tinge of mystery, could not leave a mark on the audience. The serial ended within six months of its release. Before that, Rahul and Rooqma’s pair was a hit in the Star Jalsha serial Desher Mati. They were not the central characters there, but they won the audience’s hearts.

Now Rooqma has started working in Sun Bangla. The actress’ look was released in the first promo, and a fan blessed her by saying, “You will get a prince.” The prince was seen on Friday, and the audience seemed to have been taken aback. The hero will be played by Debayan Bhattacharya, and her mother-in-law will be played by Anjana Basu.

In fact, Rupsagare Moner Manush is the remake of a popular Telugu serial on Sun TV. The serial’s theme is love which does not depend on external beauty. The audience will watch this ‘unequal love,’ which will challenge the social convention. The mega serial will start on July 3.

Meanwhile, Debayan was trolled on social media simply for not matching their expectation. One fan wrote, “He does not seem a match with Rooqma Di. I don’t know how SVF launched the serial.” Another fan wrote, “I had great hopes about the serial. Everything is spoiled now.”
