Amidst all the focus on Vishwak Sen in Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, it works well to remember that the Telugu film marks the return of Rukshar Dhillon to this industry after three long years. The actress, who debuted with Nani's Krishnarjuna Yuddham and did films like Aakatayi, ABCD later, is cast as a rural girl Madhavi in Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, that deals with the travails of a man in his 30s who's desperate for marriage. In a media interaction, the actress spoke of her on-set experiences from the film's shoot.

"It's good to be in conversation with the media without masks and promote a film; the last I met them was for ABCD, before the pandemic. Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam is a special movie in my career; I haven't played such a role, either in Hindi or Telugu cinema to date. Madhavi will be an emotional character for the viewers, particularly women and parents. For girls and parents, marriage is a very sensitive topic and I think the way the film has portrayed it is amazing," she said.

Crediting the entire team for their efforts, Rukshar added, "I must definitely thank Vidya Sagar and Ravi Kiran Kola for giving me a character like Madhavi, because it's a very special character. I really hope I've done justice to her portrayal. I am grateful to Sudheer (Edara) sir and Bapineedu sir for getting this project together. The entire team is here for the media interaction today. All of us are so occupied with our work that we barely get to meet but I have to say the entire team has done a terrific job. Each department performed its role well."

She felt that the biggest USP of AVAK and her character is the relatability. "I am very happy to be connecting to my fans through Madhavi again. For a girl, Madhavi's journey is special and emotional, purely for the way she's bound to react when an arranged marriage proposal comes her way. Many will connect to that aspect in the story. It was great fun to work with Vishwak Sen; he's very talented and hopefully audiences like our on-screen chemistry. Please don't encourage piracy and watch the film only in theatres on May 6. The film is a complete package and is sure to bring a smile to your face," she signed off.

Jay Krish has scored the music and Pavi K Pavan is the cinematographer of the family entertainer, which hits theatres on May 6 and will release on the Telugu OTT platform aha on May 27.
