The film drew praise from several corners for the performances of the lead actors Shreeram, Elsa, Subhashree and Raghu Kunche. Shreeram Nimmala's portrayal of a role with multiple shades was lauded and so was Raghu Kunche, for his performance as a shrewd baddie. Sonia, Chalaki Chanti and Getup Srinu's brief yet impactful roles were appreciated as well. Director Madhu Sudhan's ability to strike a balance between romance, comedy and revenge impressed critics.
Most reviews have cited Mahavir's music as a major highlight. GL Babu's cinematography, Satish's stunt choreography and Nageswar Reddy's coherent editing hogged the limelight. On the whole, Rudraveena is being labelled as a decent commercial entertainer, which has something in it for every viewer.
