Rudramambapuram OTT release date: When and where to watch Ajay Ghosh, Arjun Rajesh, Prameela’s film

Mahesh Bantu, the director, has also written the screenplay and dialogues

It has become quite a challenge for small and medium budget films to decide between theatres and OTT for their release plans. After a lull, several leading platforms are finally showing interest to acquire films as per the direct-to-OTT model. Another Telugu film Rudramambapuram is the latest addition to this list. The film is gearing up for an OTT premiere in the coming weekend.

Disney+ Hotstar has acquired its digital rights and will premiere the film on July 6. Arjun Rajesh, Prameela, Ajay Ghosh essay lead roles in the rural drama. Ajay Ghosh has also written the story for the film while Mahesh Bantu is the director, screenwriter and dialogue-writer. Nanduri Ramu is bankrolling the film under NVL Arts. Vengi has composed the music.

The film is centred on the lives of the fishermen, powerful village heads and young man’s fight to ensure justice. Subhodayam Subbarao, Nanduri Ramu, Janardhan, Gemini Kiran, Vamsidhar Chagarlamudi, Shankar, Narasimha Murthy Raju, DV Subbarao, Allu Ramesh, Peddiraju, Rajani Srikala, Gaddam Rajani (Neelaveni), Polavarapu Ramani, Ratnasri play other important roles in it.

N Sudhakar Reddy cranked the camera for the film and Bonthala Nageswara Reddy is the editor. D Narasimha Murthy Raju is the co-producer of the film whose crew comprises stunt director Devraj, choreographer JoJoo. Venkateswara Rao is the art director and Karedla Balaji Srinu is the executive producer respectively. Leading music label Aditya Music acquired the audio rights.

Noted director Maruthi, who’s currently working on Prabhas’ untitled horror comedy, has given the voice over for the teaser released recently. A song titled Jaathara from the film was released by Srikanth earlier this week. Apart from a few prominent faces like Ajay Ghosh, Subhodayam Subbarao and Gemini Kiran, the film largely features newcomers.
