Rudra Thandavam: The upcoming crime-thriller of Richard Rishi is all set to release on October 1

Touted to be a thriller with a political theme, the movie is inspired by true events and is helmed by Mohan G of Draupathi fame.

Richard Rishi’s upcoming political crime thriller, Rudra Thandavam is all set to have its theatrical release on October 1. The director of the movie, Mohan G Kshatriyan took to social media to put up the amazing news, today.

Rudra Thandavam will have a worldwide release, according to a tweet by the director. The film poster features Richard Rishi in an intense avatar sharing a piercing look of focus. The story of the political thriller is inspired by true incidents and is set in north Chennai.

Talking about the cast of Rudra Thandavam, Cooku With Comali famed Darsha Gupta will be marking her debut in the Tamil film industry as the female lead who is paired opposite Richard Rishi.

Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, who recently also turned into an actor, will be playing a pivotal role in the movie. A glimpse of the director-turned-actor in the trailer created waves of excitement among the fans. It also features the protagonist in the avatar of a cop who takes on the issues of drugs and fights them.

Similar to Mohan G’s previous venture Draupathi that starred Richard Rishi, Rudra Thandavam will also be dealing with important social issues to create awareness among the public. The movie is bankrolled by the director’s GM Film Corporation in association with 7G Films. Jubin, who also worked in Draupathi has composed the tunes for the upcoming movie.
