The SS Rajamouli directorial, which also stars Ram Charan, was released in theatres on March 25
Jr NTR is currently basking in the stellar success of RRR. The film has shattered numerous box office records and Tarak is garnering praise for his performance as Komaram Bheem. And it seems that he has set his sights on a project in Bollywood next.
In a conversation with Anupama Chopra, the actor revealed that he would ‘love’ to be a part of a ‘proper’ Hindi film. He said although it is a different language, the drama and ‘core emotions’ would be the same when it comes to films.
On being asked the directors he wants to work with, Tarak replied, “There are many but I like Rajkumar Hirani sir's films. He made films that put us in front of a mirror. I like Sanjay Leela Bansali’s films also. There are strong characters. The way he makes films, his extra glorious, big canvas films." (sic) He also added that in the end, all that matters is that he is satisfied as an actor, and as long as that happens, he will continue to ‘chase’ the dream.
RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, was released in theatres on March 25, grossing over Rs 200 crore on its opening day. The Hindi version of the film is the fastest title among post-pandemic films to gross Rs 100 crore at the box office. In addition to Tarak, the film also features Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Shriya Saran. D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments has bankrolled the film.
After its theatrical run, RRR is expected to make its way onto OTT sometime in June. The film will be made available on Netflix and ZEE5.
