RRR's OTT premiere on ZEE5

RRR has managed to do what no other film has even dreamt of, in the recent years. The Jr NTR, Ram Charan starrer is set to complete a 50-day-run in theatres across the country, a landmark that very few films apart from the Baahubali series have gone past. Collecting over Rs 1100 crore at the box office in five languages - Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam - RRR had set new box office records since its release on March 25. The SS Rajamouli is gearing up for its OTT premiere across the South Indian languages on ZEE5 this May 20 via VOD option.

Ahead of its OTT release, ZEE5 today released a new trailer cut of RRR, throwing a glimpse of what streaming enthusiasts could expect from the period drama. The trailer, while introducing Ram Charan and Jr NTR as Ram and Bheem gives us a sense of where they come from, their belief system, the promises they make and the paths they tread. While Ram promises to return to his hometown equipping himself for the freedom struggle, Bheem gives it everything to rescue a tribal girl from the clutches of a British couple.

The best moments in the film find a place in the trailer, from the action sequence leading to the intermission to the flashback featuring Ajay Devgn that establishes Ram's ideals and the stirring Komuram Bheemudo song in addition to a glimpse of the power-packed finale. You are yet again reminded how MM Keeravaani's background score uplifted the film's impact in addition to the fantastic performances by the leads.

K Senthil Kumar is the cinematographer of RRR, while Sreekar Prasad is the editor. Sabu Cyril is the production designer. SS Rajamouli's father Vijayendra Prasad had penned the story of the fictional tale of a friendship between two real-life Telugu warriors Alluri Sitharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. The film is set in Delhi during the 1920s. Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Shriya Saran, Rahul Ramakrishna, Rajeev Kanakala and others also play important roles in RRR. RRR's Hindi version will be available to watch on Netflix and BMS Stream shortly.
