RRR, touted to be SS Rajamouli's magnum opus, is counting down the days to its release. The film is definitely one of the most anticipated releases of the year and promises to be a visual treat, if its trailer and glimpses are anything to go by. The film had also generated a lot of buzz when it came to its budget, with word going around that the film had cost almost Rs 500 crore to make. Well, the record has finally been set straight regarding the truth about the film’s budget.
The makers have reportedly submitted details regarding the film’s budget to the Andhra Pradesh government recently. In the official submission, the budget of the film has come up to a whopping Rs 336 crores. This figure is without including the GST and remunerations paid to the cast and crew of the film.
Minister Perni Nani also announced that the film would be allowed to raise ticket prices during the first 10 days of its run, due to its huge budget. The decision regarding the same would be finalised after the application submitted by the makers is reviewed.

The film tells a fictionalised story of real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who were important figures in the Rampa Rebellion of 1922 and the 1930s battles against the Nizam rulers of Hyderabad.
RRR will be released in theatres on March 25, 2022.
