2021 is almost gone and the coming year promises to start with a bang, thanks to SS Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR, starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan in the lead roles, that's set for a release on January 7, 2022. A new single from the film is being launched today. Nicknamed Rise of Ram, the Sanskrit number titled Ramam Raghavam, capturing the spirit of freedom fighter Alluri Sitharama Raju, is lyricised by K Shiva Dutta (composer MM Keeravaani's father) and sung by Vijay Prakash, Chandana Bala Kalyan and Charu Hariharan.
Confirming the news, a post from the film's official social media handle read, "The fiery beats of #RiseOfRam will be out today at 9PM. The music video of RAAMAM RAAGHAVAM will feature Sanskrit Lyrics penned by K. Shiva Dutta garu. Sung by Vijay Prakash, Chandana Bala Kalyan, Charu Hariharan and Chorus. An @MMKeeravaani Musical. #RRRMovie." Ram Charan wearing a saffron dhoti, with a thilak on his forehead, holding the bow in his left hand, is seen marching towards a place, in the poster released along with the announcement.
The other songs that have been released from RRR include Dosti, Naatu Naatu, Janani, Komuram Bheemudo. MM Keeravaani has composed the album and the background score for RRR. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Shriya Saran, Ajay Devgn, Rajeev Kanakala and Olivia Morris in crucial roles. K Senthil Kumar is the cinematographer of the multi-lingual project while Sabu Cyril is the production designer. DVV Danayya has bankrolled the prestigious film under DVV Entertainment.
RRR will release in five languages simultaneously - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. ZEE5 and Netflix have bagged the streaming rights for the South Indian languages and Hindi version respectively. The film's story is set in the 1920s in Delhi in a pre-independence era revolving around the friendship between two revolutionary leaders Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitharama Raju.
