SS Rajamouli's film is already a blockbuster in certain belts of India.
RRR’s Hindi version has broken another record. The movie has collected Rs. 50 crores on its second weekend. The film could have earned more but it was affected by the start of Ramadan and Navratri at a few places.
RRR (Hindi) is the second post-pandemic film to cross Rs. 50 crores over its second weekend after Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files. Other movies which have crossed the mark are Prabhas-SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion, Aamir Khan’s Dangal, PK, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju and Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
Here's the Box Office collection for RRR (Hindi) so far:
Week one – Rs. 131.96 crores
Day 8 (Friday) – Rs. 13.25 crores
Day 9 (Saturday) – Rs. 17.25 crores
Day 10 (Sunday) – Rs. 20.75 crores
Week two so far – Rs. 51.25 crores
Total – Rs. 183.21 crores
Looking at the current Box Office trend, RRR (Hindi) should manage to cross Rs. 200 crore mark with ease. The movie, helmed by SS Rajamouli, has seen a drop of only 33% which is a great sign for RRR.
The Ram Charan-Jr. NTR starring film is already a blockbuster in certain circuits. The movie is working extremely well in Rajasthan and could end up becoming one of the top five films of all time in the region.
While RRR (Hindi) is working well in some areas, surprisingly (or not so surprisingly), the film has not been as much a trend in Mumbai and Maharashtra as it should have been. The metropolitan city is usually leading when it comes to South Indian film releases. However, this time, RRR (Hindi) has not been able to beat (Akshay Kumar-Rohit Shetty’s) Sooryavanshi’s Box Office in either Maharashtra or Gujarat.
Nonetheless, RRR’s Hindi version is also performing well in many places and thus, the movie is likely to emerge as one of the biggest blockbusters ever. It will most definitely beat the Box Office record of all post-pandemic releases.
