SS Rajamouli has a special connection with mythology.
SS Rajamouli has a special affinity for mythology. Rajamouli's films have always included a mythological theme, whether it was Simhadri in 2003 or Baahubali in 2015. His upcoming historical drama, RRR will be no exception.
At a press conference in Delhi on Sunday, Rajamouli expressed his affection for the genre. He told ANI that mythology has had a big influence on him. Because he spent my childhood listening to his grandparents tell mythological stories, including it in his efforts has always been a pretty subconscious decision.
He continued that it's fully ingrained in his being. What goes in must come out. Mythology has such a strong influence on him that it manifests itself in various ways in his work. The filmmaker is quite pleased with it.
For those unfamiliar, Rajamouli's film RRR is based on the Telugu freedom warriors Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The film has uncovered a historical blind spot for a cinematic spectacle, as there appear to be no records of what transpired in the lives of these freedom warriors when they were away from home.
The RRR pan-India cast, including director SS Rajamouli and actors Junior NTR and Ram Charan, visited the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Statue of Unity in Baroda after stops in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Dubai. RRR is the first film to visit this Indian landmark.
To the delight of their fans, the filmmakers and cast posted new photos from their visit to Baroda, further heightening the anticipation.
From Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Baroda, Delhi, Amritsar, Jaipur, Kolkata, Varanasi, and Dubai, the filmmakers have devised a comprehensive promotional strategy that will see them travel to the country's major potential markets from March 18 to 22.
RRR directed by Rajamouli, is the first Indian film to be released in the Dolby Cinema format.
The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn and will be released on March 25, 2022.
