The Oscar Awards are just hours away and the hopes of India are on Rajamouli's RRR as the Naatu Naatu song has been nominated for the best original song. Seeing the current trend, the song will most probably win an Oscar as well. But it has solid competition from the likes of Rihanna and others. Naatu has been sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava and has become an anthem of sorts.
Rahul Siligunj, in particular, has been enjoying his newfound fame in a big way. The local singer from Telugu has come up the hard way in life. From singing private songs to film-based music, Rahul is now all set to perform live at the Oscars along with Kaalava Bhairava, the song of RRR composer Keeravani.
Rahul did not go to the US for the other award shows and joined the team late. But Rahul says whatever fame he has got through RRR, it has changed his life upside down. The film has taken his popularity to new heights and he thanks Keeravani for giving him an opportunity for singing Naatu Naatu. Not only with RRR but Rahul has sung so many songs for Keeravani in the past and has given so many hits.
Rahul is from Telangana and has a solid fan following in Hyderabad. He is also the winner of Big Boss Telugu a few years back and is in news for the bold lyrics in all his songs. But now Rahul says he is proud of his work and only because of those songs, he has made her and caught the attention of many. He is hoping to sing in Hindi and capture the Bollywood market says Rahul with a smile in an interview.
