RRR, directed by Rajamouli and starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, is one of the biggest releases of the year. The director has now shared something he has learnt through his career.

Talking in a press conference for RRR, he said, “Over the course of my career I learned that the stronger the emotions, or more basic the emotions, the more people tend to like your movie.”

The filmmaker added that after the release of his pan-Indian blockbuster Baahubali, he realized that the film will have a wider reach if it is based on stories driven by basic human emotions.

He also revealed that while he was happy for some films doing well, he has no idea how the dynamics have changed.

Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning and its sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion were two movies that did excellent business across the country and also bridged the language gap.

After a number of delays, the director’s latest project, RRR, will hit theatres nationwide on March 25. The film tells the story of two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR), who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively.

Apart from Ram Charan and NTR, the movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Samuthirakani, among others.

Set to become the first Indian movie to release in the Dolby Cinema format, RRR will also be available in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and other international languages.
