Looks like there's nothing that can stop this box office tsunami called RRR. That it features some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry, including Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn was enough an indicator that it would open big on day 1. Of course, who can ignore the trust factor that comes with SS Rajamouli, who enjoys a 100% hit record in his 11-film old career? Going by trade reports, RRR is set to earn anywhere between Rs 130-160 crore on day 1 across the globe in all five languages.

RRR has already become the first Indian film to collect $5 million in the USA even before the counting for premieres and day one collections have finished. In the Telugu states too, RRR is expected to collect nearly Rs 70 crore, managing to garner Rs 23.35 crore in Telangana alone and breaking other records in Uttarandhara, ceded and several other regions in Andhra Pradesh. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has now reported the film has started off on a positive note in New Zealand and Australia too.

Going by the collections registered by ComScore, RRR has opened to terrific numbers in New Zealand and Australia, taking over The Batman at the box office. While in Australia, the film has earned A$ 702,560 (a little over 4 crores), RRR's run in New Zealand too has begun well, making NZ$ 69,741 on the first day. Back home in India, the collections across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala have picked up during the matinee shows and the evening shows and is geared up to set new benchmarks.

Produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment, RRR revolves around the fictional tale on two real life Telugu legends - Alluri Sita Rama Raju and Komaram Bheem. ZEE5 has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights for the film.
