Rosario Dawson has been roped in for the Haunted Mansion movie based on the Disney Parks attraction. However, information regarding Rosario’s role is kept under wraps for now, according to Deadline. Rosario has recently featured as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian and according to her, it is because of the love of fans that it happened and it will potentially get her a spin-off series.

Rosario’s other Disney credits include voicing characters - Elena of Avalor and Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast. She has also acted as Claire Temple in the Marvel series Daredevil, Iron Fist, The Defenders and Luke Cage.

Haunted Mansion will also see Tiffany Haddish and LaKeith Stanfield and follows a family that moves into a titular mansion. Loki star Owen Wilson is also newly introduced to the cast of the Disney movie. The movie will be helmed by Justin Simien who is known for Dear White People and Bad Hair.

The Haunted Mansion is based on the spooky theme park ride which opened at Disneyland in 1969. The guests saw an old manor that was haunted by ghosts, ghouls and various other undead residents. The spooky spirits include the spirit of psychic Madame Leota, the skeletal Bride and the cloaked Hatbox Ghost.

Disney’s live-action hit Aladdin’s producers Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich will be bankrolling Haunted Mansion under the Rideback banner. Rideback’s Nick Reynolds will be executively producing the film.
