Romantic hero Darling Krishna takes period route in Sukesh Nayak's next

Darling Krishna and Sukesh Nayak, we hear, will soon collaborate on a film titled Halagali which is said to be based on a "historical subject" set against the British Raj backdrop.

Over the last couple of years, Darling Krishna has found a lot of success as a "romantic" hero but one often sought him in different genres. And right on cue, it now comes to the fore that Krishna will soon be seen in a period film which will be helmed by Sukesh Nayak.

According to the latest reports, Darling Krishna and Sukesh Nayak will soon collaborate on a film titled Halagali which is said to be based on a "historical subject". The film's story promises to take us back in time to the pre-independence era of 1857 with the British Raj serving as a major backdrop.

The title of the film, on the other hand, reportedly refers to the people of the Karnataka village (Bagalkot district) of the same name whose "brave residents" displayed great bravado during the famous First War of Indian Independence in 1857. Speaking to a media outlet, director Sukesh Nayak revealed that his film will be a blend of fiction and fact and that it will focus on the hunter community of Beda which is said to have played a huge role in the crusades. The same report also shares that Sukesh took as many as 2.5 years to work on the script.

As far as the production is concerned, Halagali is likely to go on floors at the earliest and the team is currently in pursuit of finalizing locations. Darling Krishna is said to be focusing on undergoing a physical transformation for the film which, we hear, will be a two-part 'pan-India' venture. Kalyan Chakravarthy will be producing the mega project.

Interestingly, Vasuki Vaibhav has been roped in to score the music and this will be the composer's maiden period project. Having impressed everyone with his unique composition style and singing, Vasuki Vaibhav will now expectedly strive hard to deliver something new to the audiences.
