Rohman Shawl reveals how Sushmita Sen's heart attack impacted him: 'You're just numb because...'

Rohman Shawl has opened up about how Sushmita Sen's impacted him. The model-turned-actor revealed that the incident also made him prioritize his health.

Sushmita Sen suffered a major heart attack in 2023. Despite a health scare, the actress emerged strongly out of it. The way she dealt with this incident inspired a lot of people. A few days after suffering a heart attack, Sushmita left everyone surprised with her ramp walk. In a new interview, Sushmita's friend and actor Rohman Shawl revealed how the actress' health scare impacted him. Shawl revealed he prioritized his health after that incident.

Speaking with Hindustan Times, Rohman recalled he was numb when Sushmita suffered a major heart attack. "When something like that happens, the first thing is you’re just numb because you don't know what just hit you. But then the person who is going through it, also matters a lot, because of how they take it. And she took it so well," said Rohman.

The actor added that the way Sushmita dealt with the situation didn't make her dear one realize that something grave had happened. He further opened up about how Sen's health scare changed him.

"I didn’t use to take my health so seriously before, but when something like that happens, it makes you also introspect. I started getting regular checkups for myself and my loved ones. Health has become a priority, for me and my close ones," revealed Shawl.

The model-turned-actor further revealed whether the incident strengthened his bond with Sushmita's daughters — Renee and Alisah. "It's all give and take as she has been a source of strength to all of us. Obviously, the kids are always there, and mujhse bhi jitna banta hai main kar deta hoon (I do whatever I can)," he added.

Meanwhile, Rohman was in a relationship with Sushmita. Despite their break-up (3 years ago), they have been on good terms with each other. Rohman and Sushmita often make public appearances. The model-turned-actor also shares a good equation with the actress' daughters.
