Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again at pre-production stage, star cast to be decided; other details inside

Popular filmmaker Rohit Shetty and his company Rohit Shetty Picturez have dismissed reports claiming that the star cast of Singham Again has been finalized.

Rohit Shetty has not finalized the star cast of Singham Again. 

Dousing off the fire of rumours claiming that Rohit Shetty has finalized the star cast of Singham Again the filmmaker has issued an official statement today in this regard.

The official statement by Rohit Shetty and his company Rohit Shetty Picturez read, “There have been many speculations doing rounds about the starcast in Rohit Shetty's next directorial, Singham Again. The film is currently in pre- production. We kindly request the media to refrain from making any premature announcements at this stage. We will be making an official starcast announcement soon.”

With this statement, it confirmed that Rohit Shetty’s directorial, Singham Again, is at the pre-production stage and its star cast has not been finalized yet.

Earlier in the day, a report by Bollywood Hungama claimed that Bollywood superstar Vicky Kaushal backs out of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again due to date clash with Chhava.

"Vicky Kaushal was very keen to do a front-footed mass film for Rohit Shetty and had even decided on his look for Singham Again. However, the dates of shooting for Singham Again are clashing with the shooting dates of Chhava. He has a certain look from the period era in Chavva and that can't be replicated in a modern film like Singham Again. After making all attempts to set things up for Singham Again, he couldn't and informed his decision to Rohit Shetty. Being a thorough professional, Rohit too understood his plight," revealed a source close to the development to Bollywood Hungama.

After Singham (2011) and Singham Returns (2014), Singham Again is going to be the third film in the series. This series is a popular creation by Rohit Shetty.

Popular actor Ajay Devgn has been a part of this popular series and even essayed a titular role in it.
