Rohit Shetty opens up about alleged feud with Shah Rukh Khan. The popular filmmaker also reveals info on upcoming collaboration
Rohit Shetty is well-known for his maar-dhaad films and his knack for creating spectacular big-screen experiences. Apart from the Golmaal and cop-universe franchise with Ajay Devgn, the filmmaker also collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on films like Dilwale and Chennai Express. In a recent interview, Shetty explained why he hasn't worked with SRK since the 2015 film, which also starred Kajol.
During the sit-down chat with The Lallantop, the host read a question posed to Rohit by one of his fans. Given that they hadn't worked together in almost ten years, it was asked whether there was something wrong between him and the Jawan actor. The director laughed when he heard the question. "Aesa kuch nhi hai. (There's nothing like that.)" he replied.
He continued saying that he would collaborate with the superstar if he found a good story, which should be better than Chennai Express. He said, "Sabse important cheez rehta hai k kabhi aesa koi subject aaya toh kyun nhi karungi mai, zaroor karunga." (If something like this comes then we will work together).
By releasing the statement, Rohit Shetty sets the record straight, claiming that he and SRK never had a falling-out. It's obvious that the filmmaker is eager to work together but is waiting on an appropriate script. It only makes sense that they work together to create a better movie than Chennai Express, as everyone is aware was their first joint venture and is still highly regarded by viewers. And when excellent scripts and outstanding actors come together, the results on film only get better and bigger. In addition, King Khan may have become picky about his scripts after delivering consecutive hits with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki this year.
With the release of Indian Police Force, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi, the filmmaker recently made his OTT debut. He is currently shooting for Singham Again with Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and others.
