Rohit Bose Roy: How do people see me when I don’t get the kind of roles I deserve in Bollywood?

In a recent interview, TV-Bollywood actor Rohit Bose Roy said that Bollywood has 'not at all' explored his potential as an actor.

Rohit Bose Roy thinks that Bollywood has absolutely not explored his potential as an actor and the ones that have (or at least tried gto) had not seen his acting at all, the actor told News18 Showsha during an interview earlier this week.

When asked if Bollywood has rendered justice to his acting abilities, Roy blatantly said no.

Although he doesn't blame anyone for not getting enough work or the kind of roles he would have liked to do, but he feels that the film industry did not givbe him the kind of opportunities he deserved.

“... It’s very strange, people always ask me, ‘Why don’t we see more of you?’ How do you see more of me when I don’t get the kind of roles that I deserve? I will not be doing a film, show, or TV serial unless I am driving the show," he said.

As for the reason behind not getting his kind of work, Roy says he "doesn't know". "... They have always appreciated my presence and work in the film," he added.

The 53-year-old actor said that people have expressed to see more of him on screen but he just doesn't get calls from Bollywood. “These kinds of things give me hope that at least the audience wants to see me because they appreciate the kind of work I put in... I don’t know... There’s no definite answer as to why I don’t get films or shows that I want to do," he further added.
