Karan Johar talks about the cameos in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

After making the fans wait with bated breath, Karan Johar finally unveiled the trailer of his upcoming directorial titled Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. The movie which stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as protagonists is full of romance, comedy, family drama and all the jazz one would expect a typical Karan Johar film to have.

Another aspect that is common in all the films directed by Karan is the fact that they definitely have some amazing cameos or special appearances by some extremely popular stars. Whether it is Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil or Kajol’s cameos in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and Student of the Year – there’s a separate fan base for these (and other) special appearances altogether.

So now that KJo is returning to direction after about seven years, it is evident that fans have been anticipating cameos in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani too. The ace director was flooded with questions regarding the same during a quick live Q&A session he hosted on his Instagram page.

Some of the viewers asked him if they can expect any cameos in the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer movie and KJo revealed, “There are three cameos in the film” adding that he won’t reveal the names of the stars making these special appearances.

Well, we already know that Ananya Pandey is one of the three as the trailer that dropped on this day too had a glimpse of her in one of the song sequences. Twitterati too were quick to spot the same. In case you missed it, check it out here:

Karan also revealed that the next unit that will drop from the film will be a song and added that it will release on July 11th 2023. The teaser of the film and the first song titled Tum Kya Mile have already created immense buzz around the release of the film. The trailer just takes the anticipation a notch higher.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also boasts of a stellar ensemble cast including Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly among others. The movie is all set to hit the silver screens on July 28th 2023.
