The trailer of Partner, starring Hansika and Aadhi in lead roles, was unveiled a couple of days ago. At an event where the promo video was released in Chennai, Robo Shankar, who plays a notable character in the movie, spoke about his experiences working on the project.

However, little did he anticipate that a comment he made on stage would earn the wrath of Twitterati. Apparently, he said that he was eager to touch Hansika's feet while the crew was filming a crucial scene. But the actress didn't allow him and made it clear that only the movie's hero is supposed to touch her.

Robo then went on to talk about the 'privilege' heroes enjoy in the industry and concluded the short speech by requesting the crowd to take his comment in a 'fun' manner. Later, during the interaction session, one of the journalists criticized the comedian's behaviour and said that such people who don't know how to behave in public events shouldn't be allowed to speak.

John Vijay, Aadhi, Hansika and Munishkanth looked puzzled and clueless on how to react to the unexpected scenario. After a while, John took the initiative to apologize to everyone on behalf of the team.

Actors making such comments during press meets and trailer launches are nothing new in Kollywood. Sathish made an unfair comment about Dharsha Gupta's dressing style at the trailer launch of Oh My Ghost last year. Radha Ravi's comment on Nayanthara received huge backlash a few years ago.
