The outdoor shooting of Indrasish Acharya’s new film Gajoner Dhulobali is going on in Murshidabad’s Azimganj. It features Rituparna Sengupta, Ritwik Chakraborty, Loknath Dey, Sreya Singh, Debprasad Halder, and others. The set is in Chandabag village. In an interview with Anandabazar, Indrasish said, “It is fun shooting with local people in real locations.” However, he said that every day people are coming from far to see Rituparna. The actress smilingly meets their demand, too.

Indrasish said that he wanted to probe the reasons behind social violence in this film. “Both devotion and hatred are extreme nowadays. Hence, violence is getting a new form,” the director said. He doesn't want to reveal the story but says that Rituparna's character is Amrita who comes to the village in search of her missing husband, who is a journalist. She comes here and discovers several truths.

Rituparna became unwell during the shooting and had to take an injection in the morning. The director was a bit worried about her condition. But a member of the unit said that the actress has been giving shots despite her illness. Rituparna came to the floor after the lunch break. Amrita has been attacked and is taking a rest at her place. She is visited by the village teacher, played by Loknath Dey. The director shot that scene. Then Loknath, after changing the costume, came out. He said, “I am a fan of Indrasishda's craft. I guess people will like the film.” But he did not want to say anything specific about his character or his dynamics with Amrita.
