Senior actor Yusuf Hussain breathed his last on Saturday at Lilavati Hospital. The 73-year-old veteran actor is gone due to Covid-19 complications. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta, the son-in-law of the demised actor, shared the news with PTI. The Scam director also took the heartbreaking news on Twitter and wrote a heartfelt note about the former actor.
He mentioned the issues and problems he went through as a beginner in the film industry and how Hussain financially helped him with his fixed deposits. The filmmaker also mentioned that he was not his father-in-law but his father. “I am truly an orphaned today. Life will never be the same. I will miss you terribly. My Urdu will remain broken and yes- love you love you love you,” says the rest of the note.
The veteran actor has been seen in a lot of Bollywood films including Oh My God, Raees and Dil Chahta Hai. Meanwhile, Hussain marks the Abhishek Bachchan starrer Bob Biswas as his last venture.
Junior Bachchan also offered his condolences to the family of the actor and Tweeted, “#RIP Yusuf ji. We worked together in several films starting with Kuch na kaho and lastly on Bob Biswas. He was gentle, kind and full of warmth. Condolences to his family (sic).”
