KS Hemraj is the director and the producer of Richie Gadi Pelli, a conversational drama
Richie Gadi Pelli, the Telugu conversational drama brought together a flurry of actors including Kishore Maarisetty, Naveen Neni, Praneeta Patnaik, Chandana Raj, Praveen Reddy, Sathya SK and Satish Sheety. The film, jointly written by Rajendra Vaitla and Nagaraju Maduri, is directed and produced by KS Hemraj (who has also written the screenplay) under KS Film Works.
The film had a limited release in theatres across Telugu states in March this year, earned mixed reviews and performed poorly at the box office. Nearly eight months after its theatrical run, the film is now out on OTT. Leading Tamil, Telugu OTT platform aha acquired the post-theatrical rights of Richie Gadi Pelli. The streamer decided to premiere the film earlier this Friday.

The story unfolds around a group of college friends, who reunite at their friend Riche’s wedding in Ooty. While Richie’s ex has clearly not moved on, two other couples have their own mess to deal with. A television actor faces sexual harassment charges, while there’s a man-child who can’t hold his horses amidst women. A tricky game over a dinner party alters the course of their lives.
While discussing the film, OTTplay.com's critic wrote, “If Richie Gadi Pelli was a mobile contact, you’d rather want to add it to your blocklist. The conversational drama unfolding over a dinner party is amateurishly written, poorly enacted and executed. There’s no silver-lining here and the director KS Hemraj squanders the potential of a good premise.”
Satyan scored the music for the film which had cinematography by Vijay Ulaganath. Britto Michael worked on the background score and Rajendra Vaitla wrote the dialogues. Satish Shetty is the dance choreographer and Hari Varma is the art director respectively. Arun EM was the editor with Sandhya Sabbavarapu supervising the costumes department. Ananta Sriram and Shree Mani are the lyricists.
