The actor, who is now filming Fukrey in the north, joked that making a Fast and Furious trilogy with her character would be cooler.
It took five years and three pandemic waves to get the much-anticipated third instalment of Fukrey back on the floor. Sharing her excitement, Richa Chadha revealed that she has missed playing Bholi Punjaban. The actor told Mid Day that it's an endlessly entertaining persona to play, and it may be revived at any time.
The third instalment begins where the second one left off, with Bholi Punjaban being imprisoned. Chadha further shared that she was a drug trader in the first film, and now she's in jail in the second. Obviously, the next stage is to enter politics. That's where the movie picks up again.
Chadha has read the script multiple times and undergone an extensive round of look tests for the part. The actor is proud that the filmmakers made the right decision to postpone the film's shoot due to the epidemic. She said that shooting the movie at that time would have been disrespectful. Two weeks before the second wave hit, the team made the decision to postpone the film.
Chadha, who is now filming Fukrey in the north, joked that making a Fast and Furious trilogy with her character would be cooler. She said that in Mexico, Bholi is celebrated, while in Tokyo it is not. The setting is crucial and lends the films a distinct flavour. They had to be geographically particular for that reason alone.
Chadha believes characters appear to her as a result of my particular circumstances. She added that every character is imbued with the artist's personal energy, which he or she adjusts based on the written word.
Meanwhile, Fukrey 3 also stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi, reprising their roles from the original. The film had earlier gone on floors in Mumbai before heading for the next schedule.
