Richa Chadha is expecting her first child with her husband Ali Fazal. The actress has now shared details about the first film she will shoot after her maternity break.
Richa Chadha shared the news of her pregnancy earlier this year in February. The actress is expecting her first child with her husband Ali Fazal. Richa, who had been promoting her web show Heeramandi, will shortly take a maternity break. The actress is expected to give birth to her child in July 2024. Chadha has already planned her maternity break and when she intends to resume work. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Richa spilled some beans about her first film after her maternity break.
Speaking with the publication, Richa confirmed that she plans to get back to work by October. The actress revealed the plan is to begin the film's shoot in the second week of October. Richa further mentioned that her untitled film will happen in a hill station in Himachal Pradesh.
"We need the season of autumn and the skyline of Himachal, just before the onset of winter, for our shoot. The film is about a musical band in a small hill town. It’s a love story but it’s kind of like a family film as well with a lot of dynamics. We are currently in the pre-production stage and work is not stopping," she added.

When Richa was asked if Ali intends to take a paternity break, the actress said the question should be directly asked to him. That said, Richa mentioned Ali is very hands-on and is timing his professional commitments accordingly. She believes fathers should always be around the child.
"It’s not just about helping the mother but also about getting time with the child," added Chadha. For those who are unaware, Richa promoted her web show Heeramandi during her pregnancy. She fulfilled her professional duties as an actor and a producer.
In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's series, Richa shared screen space with Sharmin Segal, Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sanjeeda Sheikh. The show is available for streaming on Netflix.
