On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput, then 34, was found hanging at his suburban Bandra flat. Rhea Chakraborty and the actor were dating at the time of the latter’s death. Rhea became the target of a complaint alleging abetting and aiding suicide based on her WhatsApp chats. A separate investigation into her suspected drug procurement also started.
Today is the actor's birth anniversary. Sushant was born on this day on January 21, 1986. Rhea posted a picture of the late actor on her Instagram Stories as she remembers him. She didn't write a caption; instead, she simply used a red heart emoji to honor the man whom she had a relationship with.
Without a caption, Rhea Chakraborty's post merely states that the actress, who faced legal issues following the passing of her ex-boyfriend, wanted to take a minute to honor the celebrity. While going through a complicated and emotional period following his death, her quiet remembrance of him says everything about their relationship.

Rhea Chakraborty on her jail time
The actress recently talked about how she survived her time in jail. Due to her arrest after Sushant's passing, the actress was imprisoned for over a month. Rhea talked about her challenges with handling food and getting by on her small allowance. The actress claimed that she was able to find positivity in her fellow prisoners. “I started feeling grateful when I saw that many prisoners don’t have family support. Or they don’t have Rs. 5,000 or Rs. 10,000 for their bail. At least, I have my family and friends. I told myself, ‘You will get justice. You will get bail. You have not done anything wrong," she said.

Sushant Singh Rajput left a lasting impression on Hindi cinema. In 2020, his journey came to an untimely end when he was discovered dead in his Mumbai flat.
