Rhea Chakraborty was mired in controversy soon after the untimely passing of her actor-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. However, the actor is now looking forward to returning back to work.

She recently walked the ramp at a fashion show in Pune, after which she spoke about the two long years of lockdown and more.

"It's been a lot of healing and like coming back to normalcy, with baby steps at a time. So other than that, like the work I'm trying, I'm hoping something will happen soon. So fingers crossed," Chakraborty told Times of India.

In February, the actor took to Instagram and shared that she was back after the "toughest times” of her life. She also extended gratitude to those who supported her during this period.

After Rajput's death, Chakraborty was investigated by the CBI and the ED in connection with abetment and money laundering allegations related to the case. She also spent about a month in jail before being granted bail.

She is known for films like Mere Dad Ki Maruti Jalebi and has also held a role in Half Girlfriend.

Chakraborty was last seen in the 2021 film Chehre led by Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. It is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
