On December 29, members of the ARMY community were seen taking screenshots of individuals baselessly abusing BTS just for traction online.
While BTS stands as the biggest and most successful boy band globally, its seven members – Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – have faced insults, xenophobia, racism, and, disturbingly, even rape and death threats.
What adds to the frustration is the behaviour of certain Indian men, who, under the guise of being 'mard' (strong men), consistently criticize the South Korean boy band, often resorting to derogatory terms and going as far as harassing online supporters of the group.
Desi ARMYs have witnessed a concerning rise in abusive behaviour from Indian men towards the band, including the propagation of disturbing jokes that cross boundaries not typically breached in casual conversations.

These individuals, seemingly seeking approval from their peers and aiming to boost visibility on their X (formerly known as Twitter) handles, resorted to unwarranted criticism of BTS.

They were well aware that such actions would prompt the ARMY to engage and defend their favourite artists. In response, ARMY members have taken a proactive approach by reporting such accounts online. They have also encouraged fellow ARMYs to refrain from engaging with and to report harmful tweets online.
About BTS' Enlistment:
Concerning the enlistment of BTS members, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga are presently serving in the military, with the eldest member scheduled to complete his service in 2024.
The remaining members, Jungkook, V, Jimin, and RM, have initiated the enlistment process. Anticipated to conclude their service by the end of the year, the group is poised to reunite in 2025.
