Popular TikTok and Instagram influencer Seo Won Jeong also known widely by fans as the "Mama Guy" is currently facing charges of sexual assault. The 27-year-old also known as "WonJeongMan" or @ox_zung, Korea's most followed non-celebrity content creator with a massive audience of 55.6 million on TikTok and over 1.5 million on Instagram, had not posted anything for nearly two months before these charges.

Seo Won Jeong gained fame for his viral videos featuring the signature shout, "Mama!" and earned global recognition, even securing a spot in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2023.

However, Seo abruptly stopped posting several months ago, with his last TikTok video dated July 22, 2023, leaving his followers puzzled about his sudden disappearance.

SBS reported that "Influencer A" and another man were arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman. The report outlined that they had drinks with "Woman B" before taking her to the other man’s house, where she was allegedly raped. "Woman B" contacted the police, stating that she heard recording noises upon waking up and alleged that she was sexually assaulted by both men.

SBS further reported that Seo refused to open the door for the police, requiring the fire department's intervention to gain access.

Although the initial news report did not disclose Seo's name or show his face, a blurred video in the background provided enough context for his followers to identify him.

After the investigation, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station forwarded the case to the prosecution. As of December 15, Seo could face up to seven years in prison if found guilty of sexually assaulting an unconscious victim.

Charges of illegal filming have been dropped due to lack of evidence in Seo's phone.

The influencer has claimed that the intercourse was consensual, and the truth is likely to unfold during the first court hearing scheduled for January 17, 2024. As of now, Seo’s management, SOONENT, has not issued a response.
