After multiple OTT releases, actor Vikrant Massey is gearing up for his theatrical release, 12th Fail, by director Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The release date of the film has now been released; it will hit theatres on October 27.
This is the first time that Vikrant has worked with Chopra, who is a National Award-winning filmmaker responsible for iconic films like Parinda, 1942: A Love Story, and Eklavya: The Royal Guard.
Chopra has also produced commercially successful films like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Parineeta, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, and PK under his banner, Vinod Chopra Films.
Vikrant is popular for his performances in films like A Death In The Gunj, Haseen Dilruba, and web series like Mirzapur, Broken But Beautiful, and Criminal Justice.
The story of 12th Fail is set in Delhi and has been extensively shot in the city's Mukherjee Nagar area. The area was picked since it is the hub of Hindi-medium UPSC preparation centres. Inspired by real-life stories, 12th Fail is about aspiring IAS and IPS students.
The film also stars Palak Lalwani and Sanjay Bishnoi in pivotal roles.
