Rekhachithram Day 2 box office collection: After a terrific 2024, Asif Ali kickstarted the New Year with the stellar Rekhachithram that is winning both accolades from critics and good numbers at the box office. The movie, which also features Anaswara Rajan, has bettered its day 1 collection on its second day at the ticket window. Rekhachithram earned Rs 2.35 crore on day 2 at the box office, as per the industry tracker Sacnilk. With Unni Mukundan's Marco slipping, the mystery thriller is poised for a Superb Saturday as more than 85 shows have also been added.

Asif Ali’s Rekhachithram was released in theatres on January 9, 2025, and the positive reviews are reflected in the box office numbers too. With Rs 2.35 crore earned on day 2, the total collection of Rekhachithram is at Rs 4.25 crore. The overall occupancy for the film on Friday was 44.39 percent, with Kochi recording the highest at 60.25 percent. The occupancy rates over the day also showed an upward graph and night shows have seen the highest occupancy at 77.12 per cent, and this is a good sign for the movie as it is set for its first weekend at the Kerala theatres. Early estimates for January 11 report that the film has earned 0.14 crore on Saturday already.

More shows added for Rekachithram

Rekhachithram has gained a strong foothold at the ticket window, with more shows being added for the film, directed by Jofin T Chacko. More than 85 shows were added for the movie on day 2 in Kerala.

The mystery thriller is giving a tough race of Unni Mukundan’s Marco that is showing signs of slowing down after ruling the box office for nearly three weeks with a total collection of Rs 57.5 crore in India net collection. The other big release in Malayalam is Tovino Thomas’ Identity, which has earned over Rs 8 crore in its more than 8 days run at the box office.

The mystery thriller Rekhachithram follows cop Vivek as he sets out to find the truth behind an incident that happened nearly 4 decades ago.
