Rekha OTT release date: When, where to watch Karthik Subbaraj-produced revenge drama starring Vincy Aloshius

Attention Please director Jithin Isaac Thomas’ latest revenge drama titled Rekha is set to begin streaming on a leading OTT platform soon. The movie, which has Vincy Aloshius and Unni Lalu in the lead, is co-produced by Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, who had also taken up the distribution for Jithin’s directorial debut Attention Please.

The movie, which released in theatres on February 11, revolves around its titular character and her romance with an unemployed youngster named Arjun, played by Unni. Rekha marks Jithin’s second collaboration with Unni after their featurette in the Sony LIV anthology Freedom Fight. How an act of betrayal from Arjun leads to a transformative change in Rekha, form the plot of the movie, which also has Renji Kankol, Rajesh Azhikkodan and Vishnu Govindan in pivotal roles.

The female-centric film, which is set in Kasaragod, had gone on floors in April 2022 and wrapped up shoot in record time.

In an earlier interview with the press, Jithin, who had helmed Pra. Thu. Moo segment in Freedom Fight, said that he has always ensured that when he presents a film’s content, he always wants the audience to delve deep into it. The filmmaker previous movies – Attention Please and Pra. Thu. Moo – have been lauded for the layers of information that was packed in between the dialogues and incidents.

Meanwhile, Vincy, who was also part of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Jana Gana Mana, 1744 White Aloto and Saudi Vellakka last year, said that her character goes through an array of emotions in Rekha. The actress also hoped that her performance in the movie would lead to more such character roles finding her.

When and where to watch Rekha on OTT?

Rekha is set to begin streaming on Netflix from March 10. Jithin’s previous directorial Attention Please, which had Vishnu Govindan in the lead, is also streaming on Netflix.
